Farewell

Nottingham City Harriers was the name adopted by a group of runners at the end of 2003 who, upon resignation from a local athletics club, set up their own independent training sessions.

The numbers have dwindled over the years and traveling to training venues at rush hour has got ever more difficult with worsening traffic conditions. So it has been decided to end the informal group from 17th January 2018, the remaining individuals continuing in a private capacity.

Many thanks to the runners who have supported these sessions over the years but we hope to still see some of you from time to time in the future.

Training and Racing: Tuesday 2 October - Sunday 7 October 2007

Tuesday 2 October - 6:30pm
WE ARE AT THE UNIVERSITY TENNIS CENTRE, UNIVERSITY BOULEVARD
University Tennis Centre, Nottingham for a 10 mile run with either a 20 minute sustained pace or a variation on interval sessions. 4 * 1 mile etc...this will be on the Wollaton (10m fat) route with the dog-leg to the QMC.



Saturday 6 October - 9am
Wollaton Park easy 7.5 mile run for 1 hour, meet at St. Leonard's Avenue, Wollaton. (I'm off to the Lakes this weekend)

Sunday 7 October - 9am
Papplewick. Meet at the Griffins Head PH Car Park for a 13.75m run around the forests of North Nottinghamshire. Extended for some, to 18 miles, which is a lovely route; take a guide if you have not done it before; probably not Andy

10am Sunday 7 October Kimberley Goose Fair Gallop 5m. Entries to: Mr. M Dunn,20 Eaton Close, Beeston,Nottingham, NG9 2WB. £6

11am Sunday 7 October Bronte Way, Wycoller Country Park, nr. Trawden (GR 933393 South Pennines) to Haworth, Pre-booked transport available to the start Approx 8 miles.
