Farewell

Nottingham City Harriers was the name adopted by a group of runners at the end of 2003 who, upon resignation from a local athletics club, set up their own independent training sessions.

The numbers have dwindled over the years and traveling to training venues at rush hour has got ever more difficult with worsening traffic conditions. So it has been decided to end the informal group from 17th January 2018, the remaining individuals continuing in a private capacity.

Many thanks to the runners who have supported these sessions over the years but we hope to still see some of you from time to time in the future.

Tuesday 9th November - 6:30pm - Tennis Centre
10M - starting steady, finishing in a "crescendo of pain" (thanks for the quote Rich) ;-)

Thursday 11th November - 6pm - Tennis Centre
7-8M, starting steady, finishing @ "is Paul trying to kill us" pace ;-)
Anyone fancy the 7.5M Wilford route (map)?

Saturday 13th November - 10am - St. Leonards, Wollaton Park
Easy 1 hour session round the Park & Uni. I'll be going at a very easy (~65 min) pace

Sunday 14th November - 9am - Griffin's Head, Papplewick Village
14M - steady long run.
Anyone up for a loop round Papplewick?
I'll be there @ 8:30am for a short loop round Hucknall first if anyone wants to round it up to ~17M.

Toni Runs New PB in New York

Toni ran a fantastic race in New York to finish 32nd in a new PB of 2:54:44!!!!!!!

Circuit Training - Wednesday 10th November

Circuit training is getting established with the small core of regulars appreciating the programme. More regulars are still needed. These are good quality sessions lead by a knowledgable tutor.

Circuit training is held at Noel St Leisure Centre 7pm - 8pm Cost GBP2.90 (2.65 with Nottingham City Leisure card). Located very near Shipstone St Tram stop and the Lion Moseley Street.

Training Tuesday 9th November - Geoff's group

The usual Tuesday 9 miles fartlek is the fare. Kick off as with the others 6.30pm from the Tennis Centre.
