Nottingham City Harriers was the name adopted by a group of runners at the end of 2003 who, upon resignation from a local athletics club, set up their own independent training sessions.

The numbers have dwindled over the years and traveling to training venues at rush hour has got ever more difficult with worsening traffic conditions. So it has been decided to end the informal group from 17th January 2018, the remaining individuals continuing in a private capacity.

Many thanks to the runners who have supported these sessions over the years but we hope to still see some of you from time to time in the future.

Sunday 19 June 2005 The Asics Blackpool Marathon and Half-Marathon - Sun, Sea, Sand and...A Marathon, and a Half-Marathon. That's hopefully what's on the Menu on the weekend of June 19/20, 2005, when the Top Northern Seaside-resort of Blackpool hosts the Asics Half- and Full Marathon Events. It goes almost without saying that these events are over Fast Courses in the Lancashire resort and that these prove extremely attractive for attempts on that elusive of beasts, the Personal Best! Also going without saying is the fact that these events are extrememly popular. One to start the training program for now! But don't forget to sign-up! Entry forms available from Northern Runner in-shop or from our Mobile Shop, or send us a SAE if you require one sending by post. See also: http://www.blackpoolmarathon.com
