Farewell

Nottingham City Harriers was the name adopted by a group of runners at the end of 2003 who, upon resignation from a local athletics club, set up their own independent training sessions.

The numbers have dwindled over the years and traveling to training venues at rush hour has got ever more difficult with worsening traffic conditions. So it has been decided to end the informal group from 17th January 2018, the remaining individuals continuing in a private capacity.

Many thanks to the runners who have supported these sessions over the years but we hope to still see some of you from time to time in the future.

Conditions wet, boggy, slippy on Black Hill, low visability Bleaklow. The second man was way in front (20 year old) until he ran past the cross-over point on Kinder and was beaten by 1 minute by the next man through. Tragic.

Thanks to Craig and Toni for supporting the run and Toni did the first leg too!

Circuit Training is good for you

Circuit training is on as usual. Fine food and ales in the nearby Lion afterwards.

Geoff's Group Tuesday 7th December - the pleasure continues...

Business as usual this Tuesday; the sharp end remained sharp as predicted last Tuesday.

The usual 7 - 9 miles fartlek punishment to continue in that vain this week. The "turn and collect" policy ensures that no one gets left behind at the end of an effort.

Kick off 6.30 p.m, the same time as the crazy gang.
