Farewell

Nottingham City Harriers was the name adopted by a group of runners at the end of 2003 who, upon resignation from a local athletics club, set up their own independent training sessions.

The numbers have dwindled over the years and traveling to training venues at rush hour has got ever more difficult with worsening traffic conditions. So it has been decided to end the informal group from 17th January 2018, the remaining individuals continuing in a private capacity.

Many thanks to the runners who have supported these sessions over the years but we hope to still see some of you from time to time in the future.

Last of the Summer League - Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham

(Photo: David Keal) Rob putting the effort in at Holme Pierrepont Summer League.

After a brief meet in the Cricks, the following has been decided...
The plan to Christmas is to do 10*300m efforts on Thursday night at the University Campus. This will be up the hill to the Trent Building.

After Christmas we head off to the track. We may rotate efforts on Tuesday night between, 1 - 1.5 mile efforts, tempo runs (15 mins - 30 mins) and shorter efforts. Wednesday is a popular night for the mid-week long run; 16 miles.

We are going to Nice for the 17 June 2007 Ironman from Thur - Mon, hiring a flat (with a pool), flying from Birmingham or Luton. It will involve road biking and Tuna Nicoise.
