Training and Racing Tuesday 12 July - Sunday 17 July 2005
Tuesday 12 July, 6:30pm - Bramcote Leisure Ctr.
The Tuesday night "bread-and-butter" 10M. If anyone feels like a steady 7M, I'm planning on an easier shorter one prior to Wednesday's race.
Wednesday 13 July 2005, 7:30pm - Tour of Lichfield 5K Race 3 - Friary Grange Leisure Centre, Eastern Avenue , Lichfield
http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/events/viewevent.asp?sp=&v=2&EN=28976
It's £6 on the night for unaffiliated runners. I spoke to the Race Secretary, apparently the course is flat / mildly undulating (last week's winner ran 13:44 apparently!!!), course is accurately measured but no markers, mixture of asphalt and grass (road shoes recommended).
Thursday 14 July, (Note Race Start at 7:30pm) - The Lord Elliott endorsed Historic Hardwick Hall 6 - Hardwick Hall, Pilsley.
http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/events/viewevent.asp?sp=&v=2&EN=2933
"Famous international mystery runner will carry Bess of Hardwick flame torch Pilsley School Choir to sing at Hardwick Hall Course AAA measured: 6 miles 285 yards" - I hope there's some missing punctuation or else the Choir are in a for a very rough evening ;-)
OR
~5:30pm - Beeston
If anyone wants to do a midweek longish run, I'll be doing ~14M at a steady pace, give me (Ben) a shout if you're interested.
Saturday 16 July, 9:00am - St. Leonard's Drive, Wollaton (Park)
University and Park run of ~1 hour.
Sunday 17 July, 9:00am - Tennis Center
13 - 17M. I've got a 16-17M scheduled with 12M @ marathon pace, if anyone is interested in a slightly quicker than usual long run.
