Training and Racing 24th - 30th August 2004
Tuesday 24th August - 6:30pm - Bramcote Leisure Centre
10M mainly off-road, start steady, finish quick.

Wednesday 25th August - 6pm - Tennis Centre
The Ken Allen-endorsed midweek longish run. Either meet at the TC @ 6pm for an out-and-back to Holme Pierrepont, ~11M, or meet at my place @ 5:50pm to make it 13-14M.

Thursday 26th August - 6:30pm - Wollaton Park Intervals
Trevor's session - meet @ Wollaton Pk. Lake @ 6:30pm for 7pm session - likely 6 x 800m off 60-90 sec recovery.

Saturday 28th August - 10am - St. Leonards, Wollaton Park
Easy 1 hour session round the Park & Uni.

Sunday 29th August - 8:30am - Attenborough Nature Reserve.
The long one, will be the Two Bridges run which is about 22m, with limited routes to cut short! - start steady, finish at 'Coach Henderson-endorsed' marathon pace!

A couple of upcoming races which may be of interest:
Robin Hood 1/2M - 12 September
Merrill College and Shelton Striders 10k - 3rd October

I did the 10k in 2002 and it is the fastest 10k course I've ever seen, absolutely pancake flat, very few turns. Definitely a PB course if there's no wind.

Training Tuesdays

Last night due to heavy traffic congestion I was late arriving at the Tennis Centre so apologies to anyone who gave up waiting. Also due to injury of key members the Bramcote run was cancelled at short notice so again apologies to anyone put out by the no shows. Going forward I am suspending the Tennis Centre sessions until January when hopefully the traffic may have eased slightly. The Bramcote group is also suspended until there is a compliment of regulars again. It will be announced on this blog.
Check out the X-Ray bloom! Two runners go trekking. Gary and Ben on Corse.
